Leucistic Peacock - Richard Reeve
Peacocks are very colorful, unless they are leucistic, like this rare white fellow or an albino. The difference is in the eye color. Leucism is an overall reduction in pigmentation wheres albinos have no melanin, thus giving them pink eyes. Either way, white peafowls are still a beautiful bird

Saw this and voted for you in the Bird Close Up contest. I have not heard the term "Leucistic" before, though now it makes sense. I have one of these gorgeous birds in my lineup, too. I have renamed him several times (Albino, White, etc...). I thank you for your great facial close up and for the explanation of and the differences in coloration in these magnificent peafowls!
