Description
National Egg Collection
During The Great War (World War I) from 1914-1918 Britain launched a campaign to collect eggs to feed the wounded soldiers and sailors who were recuperating in Boulogne, France. The initial target of 20,000 eggs per week was soon raised to 200,000 per week. This was achieved by Easter 1915.
This would make an ideal gift for anyone with chickens be they commercial or a backyard chicken owner.
