What could be a better way to spend a warm fall day than by riding the West Chester Railroad from West Chester, PA down to Glen Mills and back? The original line to Philadelphia was established in 1858 and served the town for nearly 130 years, finally being closed down in 1986. However, the volunteer-run West Chester Railroad will still allow a sedate journey down the line to enjoy a picnic and walk before returning to the bustle of the county seat. If you don't want to picnic, why not enjoy a hot beverage and snack from the buffet car?
