Description
Lyme Disease Ixodes Tick on Target - Richard Reeve
Pop Art square of my Ixodes scapularis tick (aka deer tick or bear tick) on a bullseye target. This tick sometimes is the vector for the spirochete Borrelia burgdorferi, the causative organism for Lyme Disease. This potentially debilitating disease is an increasing threat in many parts of the world, but especially Southern Pennsylvania.

Just listened to a story on the news about increased tics in our area this year. Something to do with acorns and mice I think. Anyway, I really like this pop art warning! l/f!
Richard Reeve replied:
Thank you, Meg. I thought this simple design would make a great button badge too!
