Artist's Description
Way before the internet and satellite comunication, and even transistor radios, the main method of sharing information was through the "wireless" radio. Powered with valves which used to take nearly a minute to warm up and cool down, there was something magical about hearing the show fade in when you turned them on. I got rid of my one back in the 80s but I remember the warm tones coming from the huge box.
