Description
Consuegra - Sail to the Sunset by Richard Reeve
Some say that the windmills at Consuegra were the ones Don Quixote attempted to do battle with, thinking they were giants. I have my doubts. For at Consuegra there is, and would have been even in Quixote's time, the Castle of La Muela, which he never mentioned. Personally, I think the windmills at Campo de Criptana are more likely candidates.
Nevertheless, it is a beautiful historic place to see the sunset whilst dreaming of giants and knights errant defending chivalry.

I love this shot Richard! I immediately thought of Don Quixote, even before reading your description. Beautiful work!
Richard Reeve replied:
Thank you. Meg It was lovely waiting for the sunset at Consuegra, but quite a tough walk in the heat!
