Description
Brighton Royal Pavilion 2 - Richard Reeve
Although initial construction of this wonderful building started in 1787, its design was driven from 1815 by architect John Nash, who used domes and minarets to create a stunning, if idiosyncratic, edifice in the center of Brighton.
Used by several members of the Royal Family for years when visiting the south coast of England, the Royal Pavilion was finally purchased from Queen Victoria who preferred her summer home to be Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, as it was more private.
